Keishann Corley
Volunteer Coordinator
My Story
Keishann Corley serves as a Volunteer Coordinator for Forward From Here. She was born in Jacksonville, FL but considers herself a native of Cincinnati, OH. She moved to Tallahassee after the 2001 Cincinnati riots and finally settled in the town after attending college in Michigan.
Ms. Corley finished her first degree at FSU and entered the workforce immediately. She became involved with non-profit work that focused on the city’s homeless population, youth development, and higher education.
Years later, she returned to FSU to pursue a master’s degree in public administration. Ms. Corley is no stranger to feeling disconnected and captures these experiences in her poetry. She hopes to share best practices and educate diverse communities about how to engage and find consistent, genuine support.

“Emotional pain is not something that should be hidden away and never spoken about. There is truth in your pain, there is growth in your pain, but only if it’s first brought out into the open.”
